Join us for the first annual Winterfest at Kroka's campus in Marlow, NH! Come experience the magic of winter on this fun, festive and adventurous day.  Winterfest is family-friendly and is free and open to the public. Hot soup and dessert will be available to purchase.

Campus is open 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM for the following activities and more: 

• Ski (skate or classic) on our network of groomed trails
• Ice skate on the Kroka Pond
• Drink a cup of tea inside our cozy candle-lit winter expedition tent 
• Cook bread-on-a-stick over the campfire
• Build a Quinzhee snow fort
• Snowshoe out to the Beaver Pond
• Attend a winter tracking workshop
• Visit with our cows, horse and chickens
• Take a ride down the best sledding hill in Marlow! 

All activities are weather dependent. Skis, skates, and snowshoes available to borrow. RSVP below if you plan to attend! 

This classic winter adventure is a must-do for adventurous and fun-loving students: Join us for a week of winter exploration, as we travel by ski and snowshoe to our beautiful winter camp. There we find a canvas tent with a crackling woodstove and a balsam fir floor. Each day, we will cut and split firewood to warm our tent and cook our meals, and chisel a hole in the ice to collect water. Adventures by day will include snow shelter making, exploring the woods by snowshoe, and skiing over the beaver flowages. We will bake biscuits over the fire, drink hot chocolate to warm our toes, carve our own spoons, and investigate tracks and trails as animals go about their lives amidst the snow. At night, the stars and the moon will illuminate the scene of a winter paradise with ice crackling in the cold and snow blanketing the trees. There will be stories, songs and great conversations in our candlelit canvas wall tent.
