A harvest, transfer, or distribution of farm produce is also a participation record. Note that process of being admitted to a program can be a long journey, starting with interest, then application, then interviewing, offering, and acceptance. Thus a participation record can have many different statuses. A participation record is said to be "CURRENT" when someone is actually participating in the program, or has participated in the program without being terminated early (quitting, being fired, etc.)

TAGS Tags are the "post-it notes" of the linseed office. They can be attached to other records via "notes", and be used for a variety of purposes: Just like "post-it notes" come in different shapes and sizes, tags also come in different shapes and sizes. Some tags just MARK a record so that it can be easily found later. Other tags represent "MAIL" messages that are frequently sent to constituents or a single mailing such as a newsletter or annual report. "APPEAL" tags are applied to households or transactions for a specific fundraising appeal. "CAMPAIGN" tags are applied to households or decisions for a long-term fundraising campaign. COHORT tags are applied to participations or people to represent a unique grouping of people. FORM tags represent some sort of information that you want to collect from someone via a web form. SURVEY tags represent results from an online survey hosted by Typeform or Wufoo. TRANSACTIONS Transactions represent the movement of money, time, or other resources. DONATIONS and PAYMENTS are transactions, as well as charges that appears on invoices for TUITION and FEES, GOODS or SERVICES or SALES of products. Purchasing, producing, harvesting or distributing products (including farm produce) are all different types of transactions. Pledged donations or promised payments transactions can be scheduled in the future, so when reporting on transactions, it may be important to distinguish betweeen those that have been real vs those that are still only scheduled.
DEPOSITS Financial transactions (such as incoming checks, cash, or a credit card batch) are often grouped together and deposited into a bank account. Linseed helps to consolidate these transactions and keep track of bank deposits - even generating an accounting entry for Quickbooks that reflects the account and classification for the deposit. For tight fiscal controls, the amount of the bank deposit can later be reconciled against a bank statement.
PRODUCTS PRODUCTS can represent tuitions, fees, tickets, or standard donations, as well as physical products merchandise such as meals, farm products, t-shirts, water bottles, etc. The Products cabinet can also be used to track vehicles and trailers and campsites - should you need to manage those types of items to assign them as resources for different activities.
